This is hopefully the last blog concerning the cooking-challenged wife. I made a mistake, her birthday was the 19th, mooses' was the…. My nephew Noah had the first one 3 years ago and Brendan has been asking since then for his own Army Tank. They are for some reason or other fascinated with the Army Tank cake. They love that they can eat the dirt and sand too.

That age is great for this type of army party, but I know older boys would love it too. You will also need to have kept aside three camo cupcakes to create the knobbly hill. To decorate you'll need some mini flake bars, licorice straps and gummy army men lollies.

Just fill a bag with army guys or with a couple of our ideas listed below and staple the topper on. These 3 items, small army camo plates, army camo napkins and army camo candles, can all be purchased from Hobby Lobby. "Paint" and "sculpture" your battle field with the buttercream frosting. I'm not a precision cake decorator, by any means.

Army Themed Cupcakes - by NotJustCakesByAnnie @ CakesDecor.com - cake ... I saw one of our cooks had made an army helmet birthday cake. Plus I need the icing recipe (I'm guessing fondant) and the cake recipe.TIA KC ...

The cake is decorated with a camouflage pattern and features a soldier on top of a tank. The soldier has an assault rifle, and the tank has a machine gun. The cake is made of chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate ganache filling. Well, I can say I didn't make this in no 45 minutes.

When autocomplete results are available use up and down arrows to review and enter to select. Touch device users, explore by touch or with swipe gestures. Be creative as you want with the camoflauge. You can do 2, 3 or 4 different colors on the green. I really LOVE the black, so I would at least suggest that color to you.

Moral of the story, nothing can compare to butter! Use BUTTER when the recipe calls for it. Keep adding mixture colours randomly until all the mixture is used up. The Army themed cake was made for a friend’s son who is in the US Army.
An eggless, almost fatless, milkless cake, very aptly named - it was popular during wartime shortages. For those who yearn for a good cake, but must resist fat, this will do it. For kid parties, I keep things super simple, because usually they are too excited to sit down and eat anyway. I’ve done ham and cheese sandwiches, corn dogs, or hot dogs, and usually some fruit and a favorite chip or cheese curl. Once the cake has cooled, it's time to Decorate the Cake...

The canon and the hatch were the only non edible items on the cake. The canon was just a thick plastic straw (from a reusable cup/water bottle) that I covered in fondant. It’s hollow on the inside so you can add a sparkler. And the hatch is just a piece of cardboard cut into a circle covered with fondant.
While your cakes are baking and cooling you can prep most of your work. You will need a really nice green to cover the entire cake so the bulk of your icing will go for that color. I'm a THIRTY year old southern mom of two kids, well three if you count my husband.
JUST A PINCH RECIPESCake toppers are typically designed for celebration or special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. They are often small enough to fit in the center of the top tier of the cake. It is hard to substitute a liquid fat for a solid fat, since they behave differently with the other ingredients – like fondant! It was only an issue with my bottom layer though, since I realized what was happening and I pretty much stopped using the icing altogether.

The cake was made from a box of Duncan Hines yellow cake mix, canned frosting and store-bought chocolate frosting. The tank cakes are starting to all look alike. For Z's cake I want to try to bundle the candles at the end of the gun so we can light them. Are you curently on diet or you just want to control your food's nutritions, ingredients? Place the large cake down first and the other two cakes down second; one on top of another. Cut out a section in the front and back to shape the tank as seen above. Now place your tires on the side with some icing on the back of them. I made themarshmallow fondantusing the Wilton Recipe, as usual. However this time I used a margarine type spread which consisted of part vegetable oil, instead of butter. After all that you should find making the camo cupcakes, super-easy!
Lol ---- I used a 9 by 13 pan and 2 oval pans to make the tank. Whatever cake flavors you want is fine, since the cakes sit on top of each other. I also added chocolate chips and butterscotch chips into my cake mixes for flavor and color. These are some food labels I designed for the birthday party, along with a Mess Hall sign.
